There are a couple of changes:
R day will be "Ready to be part of the audience for a respect assembly" and the variety show will be for our class only, not the big show as in the past. More information will come home shortly.
Last week we:
- began social studies Unit 9 How Do Communities Change? - read a story called Ruth Law Thrills a Nation. We also made paper airplanes with our reading buddies.
- continued Topic 11: Multiplication and Division Concepts.
- practiced being social detectives.
- did more work with Superflex (super hero who represents flexible thinking) and Rock Brain.
- observed our caterpillars as they began hatching into adults.
- honored Mrs. Brady for being an awesome room parent.
- wrote thank you letters to Mr. Wilson
- made posters for our reading buddies to encourage them as they took the MSP.
This week we'll:
- read and take an assessment over a story called Cool Ali
- continue to be social detectives
- learn more about Superflex and the Team of Unthinkables
- continue social studies Unit 9 How Do Communities Change?
- practice subtraction math facts with a music cd.
- continue math Topic 11: Multiplication and Division Concepts.
- observe our butterflies
- make butterfly hats and kindness bags
- interview each other
- share our favorite books with our reading buddies (Please remind your student to bring books to share.)
